~Rev. R. W. Roundtree, Jr.~

Our Pastor, Rev. R. W. Roundtree, Jr. is the son of the late Dea. Raford Roundtree, Sr. and

Everlena C. Roundtree. He is a native of the Jackson, South Carolina area. He joined the

Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church at an early age. He worked diligently in the church, serving on

several ministries, including the choir, trustee and deacon ministries. Rev. Roundtree was licensed into the ministry in 1988. Over the years, he has pastored several churches in the CSRA. In 1998, Rev. Roundtree was called to pastor his home church, the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, in Jackson, South Carolina. Rev. Roundtree was educated in the Aiken County public school system. In 2003, he furthered his education by pursuing and receiving an Associate's Degree in Theology. He has been ministering in the gospel for over 30 years and is an excellent leader. Rev. Roundtree formally served as President of the CSRA Ministers' Conference, where he now holds the position of treasurer; And is currently on the executive board of the Storm Branch Association. In 2007, Rev. Roundtree was featured on the CD, "Prayer Changes Things", which can be purchased in select stores across the U.S.

Under Rev. Roundtree's leadership, Mt. Pleasant has grown spiritually and structurally, with the organizing of several ministries within the church. He is the husband of Sis. Louise Roundtree for over 40 years. Rev. Roundtree is the father of 3 children, and the grandfather of 10 grandchildren. He is also the pastor of the 2nd Hopeful Baptist Church in Hephzibah ,
